Bill Mutch
President
Bill's story begins with his service in the Air Force, where he learned the value of teamwork and discipline. After completing his service, he returned to his hometown of Elkhart, IN, where he reached out to his legendary high school basketball coach, Jim Hahn, in search of a job.
Jim was working for a local box manufacturer and offered Bill the opportunity to learn the box business. Bill accepted the offer and quickly became a valuable member of the team, selling boxes and learning the ins and outs of the industry.
After several years, Bill was asked to open a new facility in Detroit, where he quickly found success. However, he decided to branch out on his own and founded Will-Pak, a box manufacturing plant, which he grew and eventually sold to Plymouth Packaging. After working in a sales capacity for them during the buyout, Bill stayed on until they were acquired by Westrock and then Able Box Brands was born.
Bill's passion for excellence extends beyond the workplace. He played baseball at Michigan State University and is an avid golfer and dog lover. He has been married to his wife, Lynn, for 20 years and is the proud father of three Labrador retrievers: Posey, Willow, and Violet.
